1.               SCOPE OF SUPPLY

Project :  Utilities & Offsites at the Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex
Item     :  Structural Steel (Refer to Appendix I)
Customer          :  JV "Uz-Kor Gas Chemical LLC"
Contractor        :  Hyundai Engineering co., LTD.
Location            :  Ustyurt, the Republic of Uzbekistan 
Supplier shall be responsible for the design, supply of materials, inspection, tests, guarantee, packing, delivery, painting, welding and fabrication.

2.               DEFINITIONS

“Customer” means Uz-Kor Gas Chemical LLC, the owner of Utilities & Offsites at the Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex (UGCC).
“Buyer” means the party that awards the contract to the Fabricator. The Buyer may be the Company or the Contractor.
“Fabricator” means the party which carries out all or part of the fabrication and delivery as specified by the Buyer.
“Sub Contractor” means the party which carries out all or part of the supply of material , fabrication and delivery as specified by the Fabricator.
“Contract Documents” means any and all documents, including design drawings, that the Buyer has transmitted or otherwise communicated, either by incorporation or reference, and made part of the legal contract agreement or purchase order between the Buyer and the Fabricator.

4.               DOCUMENT PROCEDENCE

It shall be the Sub contractor’s responsibility to be, or to become, knowledgeable of the requirements of the referenced Codes and Standards.
The sub contractor shall notify the Buyer of any apparent conflict between this specification, design drawings, the Codes and Standards, and any other specifications noted herein. This specification shall govern when there is any conflict with referenced specifications.
Resolution and/or interpretation of precedence shall be obtained from the Buyer in writing before proceeding with the design.
In case of conflict, the order of precedence shall be:

n  Local Laws, Regulation and Requirement

5.               INQUIRY

The Subcontractor shall submit inquiry for shop drawing design, supply of materials, inspection, tests, guarantee, packing, delivery, painting, welding and fabrication.
Refer to the Material Quantity in Appendix-1 and attached Specifications.

6.               LANGUAGE

All the correspondence as well as drawings, instructions, data sheet, any other written information shall be issued in the English and Russian language. Certificates issued in the country of origin language shall be submitted “as final” complete with the English and Russian translation.

7.               STRUCTURAL STEEL MATERIAL

- All structural steel shapes, plates and bars confirming to ASTM A36. The shape, dimension and mass of the steel product shall be in accordance with JIS G 3192.
- All connection bolts shall be Torque Shear Bolt (JIS B 1186) and for expansion joint ASTM A325 Type 1 High Strength Bolt with two (2) nuts shall be used.

8.               TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

All the Technical requirements shall be followed attached project specification.  
Structural steel shall be painted as below.

8.1             For Structural Steel Painting (without F/P)

-    Painting system : A
-    Surface preparation : SP-10, Refer to Painting specification (HPS-G311)
-    Primer coat : One Pack Inorganic Zinc Rich Epoxy Primer, DFT = 75 microns
-    Under coat : One Pack Epoxy (H.B), DFT = 100 microns
-    Finish coat : One Pack Acrylic Urethane, DFT = 70 microns

8.2             For Structural Steel Painting (with F/P)

-    Painting system : G
-    Surface preparation : SP-10, Refer to Painting specification (HPS-G311)
-    Primer coat : One Pack Inorganic Zinc Rich Epoxy Primer, DFT = 75 microns

8.3             Misc. steel

Grating, Ladders, ladder cages, stairs, stair threads and handrails shall be hot-dip galvanized and painted.

8.4             Bolt and Nut

ASTM A325 High Strength Bolt with Nut and Washer shall be hot dip galvanized.
